Construction is underway on the North Course as of last week. Although we haven't shut any holes down yet, we are getting a new irrigation main line installed on #9. This will solve pressure problems that have haunted us for many years. The full project begins on Monday, and as a reminder, holes 5-13 will be closed. On August 5th, the entire North Course will be closed until September 16. We will be posting pictures each week on the progress. Once we are in full gear, we will be laying over an acre of sod per day!
As many of you have noticed, we installed 10,000 square feet of sod on the main range tee last week. We will be installing another 10,000 square feet next week. This is to ensure that we have good turf conditions through the summer with the high utilization of the range that we anticipate.
In addition to the main project on the North, we will also be doing many smaller projects while closed including tee leveling, bunker improvements, tree trimming, greens expansion and re-grassing of all collars.
