We have been working on several new improvement projects in the past weeks.  Spike brushes have been installed on most holes and divot bottle holders are on all of the fairway landing areas.  We've fertilized all 36 holes and the range in the past week, and redistributed sand in all of the bunkers.  This week we are also working on the mulch/oak areas on #4 & 14 North.  We are going to re-grade some of the area to keep water from pooling next to the cart paths.  We will also be installing split rail fence in these areas to finish them off, and will be planting oak trees in the mulch area next to #4 tee.  We have been continuing on our irrigation head replacement as well.  By the end of this week, we should have holes 10-18 and #1 completed.  We will also be working on a landscape project behind the loading dock at the clubhouse to improve the aesthetics to members using the back entry to the grill.
In addition, we have cleared around the oak trees on #18 green North.  This is the first part of the process of improving our riparian areas on the golf course.  This was a part of the master plan projects scheduled for 2013.  We are clearing all brush except for the oak trees along the creeks.  The goal is to open up the view and make the oak trees the focal point of our riparian corridors.
