North Capital Investment Plan Begins!

A Master Plan for the North Course has begun! We have hired the Robert Trent Jones, Jr. Group to draw up a detailed, hole by hole presentation of all recommended improvements, refinements and modifications on the North Course. With the help of our Board of Governors and Greens Committee, we have already identified a few specific improvement goals that this Master Plan will help us achieve:

- Restoration (sodding) of all fairways and green surrounds to bermuda turf
- Re-design and construction of #15 green
- Renovation of #12 green complex, with an addition of a new cartpath closer to the green
- Re-design of the fairway landing areas to improve cart traffic, design and turf conditions
- Restoration of greens to their original boundaries
- Improvement of the overall aesthetics by creating more natural areas

In addition to the improvements on the North Course, one of the goals within this plan will be the renovation of #5 Green on the South Course.

We are extremely excited to move forward in this process. Bruce Charlton, Chief Design Officer of the Robert Trent Jones, Jr. Group, is scheduled to complete an extensive review and evaluation of the golf course next week. The proposed designs will be presented to the general membership in October along with our finalized agronomic plan. Once the plans are complete and finalized, we will outline details on construction and renovation dates.

This is an exciting project, and I will continue to update all of you on the progress.

We are also wrapping up several improvement projects right now on both courses.  The South cartpath replacements on holes 2 & 14 are complete, and the drain on #1 fairway will be completed tomorrow.  We will also be sodding behind the range tees tomorrow as well as the fairway on #13 North.
