We are finally getting bermuda grass to fill in on the North Course. With the warm weather this week and all of the aerification and fertilization, we are seeing good improvement on the North. We will continue to aggressively improve North transition issues over the remainder of the summer.
With the hot weather this week, we have to be cautious with our greens. You will see us cooling greens down in the afternoons to keep the poa annua from dying from the heat.
We are also changing our maintenance of the driving range tees to provide better turf conditions. In the summer, the tees get really beat up due to the high amount of play. We have changed our schedule to stay on mats and the top tee on Wednesdays now in addition to Monday and Tuesday. This will help give the tee more time to recover. We are also going to change our set-up of the tee to see if we can minimize the wear.
