We continue to work on the North Course fairways and roughs. We will start sodding bad areas in the fairways 1, 2, 3 & 18 in the coming week. In the roughs we are fertilizing the weak areas every week to promote the bermuda growth to fill in these areas. We are also working with the golf committee to promote a goal of reducing the areas we overseed on the North in the next two years so that we no longer have to deal with poor playing conditions in the summer. In addition to this, we also had a power outage last week and two mainline breaks that have kept us from watering the North Course properly each night. We have several employees scheduled to hand water and fertilize these areas of the course every day.

This is a typical area in the roughs. You can see the bare spots where the poa annua and ryegrass has died out. The new shoots of grass filling in are the bermuda grass plants that will fill in these areas through the summer. |

The South Course aerification is wrapping up today with the greens. We are also aerifying the South fairways and will need to complete them on Friday.
