Somehow we finished aerfying the South fairways last week! The rain made things really hard to get clean. The wet plugs clog the machinery and are difficult to remove. We are re-cleaning the fairways on 6,5,3 & 2 today to get them back to normal. Thank you for your patience and understanding last week! Even with the rain, by closing each hole, we were able to aerify all of the fairways in 3 days instead of 6 days!
This week we are fertilizing the golf courses, re-sodding some bad areas on tees, and getting caught up on mowing. The weather is supposed to be foggy with drizzle most of the week. This makes the grass wet and creates clippings that are very difficult to clean up. We will be running extra rough mowers and sweepers this week to get the golf courses as clean as possible.
Finally, ARB construction is putting the final touches on the creek repairs on the North Course today. Once we are sure the rain is done for the season, we will remove the erosion control plastic sheeting and plant native grasses in the area.
