North Course Overseed Schedule

It is already time again to get ready to overseed the North Course. We will begin preparing the North for seeding by decreasing irrigation. We will start drying down the golf course on August 27th. This will be a slow process beginning with the exterior roughs that are out of play. Drying down the golf course helps slow down the growth of the grass so that we can bring the roughs from the current height of 2" to our overseed height of 3/4". Although it doesn't seem like a big drop, any drop over 1/4" at a time will bog the machines down and make a mess.

The overseed preparation process will continue through September 25th, and the North Course will close on September 26th. While we are closed we will actually seed the entire course, grow it in, complete the first mowings and aerify the greens. By the time the course re-opens on October 10th, you will be able to see the results of the process.

Check around the club as detailed overseed schedules will be posted as well as schedules for the South Course overseed and aerification.
