Due to the frost delays the past three days, we are behind schedule in greens aerification on the North. Although our team is working diligently today to complete as many holes as possible, it doesn't appear as we will be able to open holes 7-10 tomorrow. We will still have the remaining holes available for play. We will complete greens aerification tomorrow and have the entire course ready for play on Friday. I apologize for the delays.
This week we will have aerified all greens, tees, approaches and roughs (about 75 acres). This process is crucial to the long term health and success of our golf course. We didn't aerify fairways this year due to the construction and remodel of fairways coming this summer. While closed, we also had our tree contractor out working on creek edge trimming as part of our master plan projects. Holes 1 & 18 have now been trimmed and we will be working next week on mulching along those creek lines to give them a clean, defined edge. The highlights of these two holes are the improved visibility of the first fairway from the tees and the improved view of the 18th green from the clubhouse.
