It is amazing that only after 3 years since opening the green we are dealing with tree roots invading #4 green on the South. What is even more amazing is that the tree causing the problem is 40-50 feet away. This week we are trying to barricade the roots from getting back into the green. We will install a root barrier this week, and then work on the back of the green to get it fully recovered. The roots have invaded the green, deprived the grass of water and nutrients and lifted the turf up causing scalping.
